A father who died after being struck by a car while drunk in a Perth suburb has been remembered by his family as a loving and compassionate person who always stood up for others.
A statement from the family of 33-year-old Adam Smith said the family was devastated by the loss of Mr Smith, a father of three, who was found dead on the morning of December 19.
Mr Smith’s body was found in a field near his home in the town of Glenelg about 8.45am (AEDT) on Monday.
Police said the vehicle was described as a dark-coloured Ford Focus and had been driven by a 37-year old man who was not wearing a seatbelt.
“The driver and passenger are deceased.
It’s believed they were driving drunk and the collision was not a tragic accident,” a police spokesman said.
Police have appealed for witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
